Rep. Troy E. Nehls Votes to Pass the One Big, Beautiful Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) released the following statement after voting “YES” to pass H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:  

“I proudly voted yes to pass President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill,” said Congressman Nehls. “This America First legislation delivers on our promises to the American people. It makes President Trump’s Tax Cuts permanent, delivering the largest tax cut in American history. It includes No Tax on Tips and No Tax on Overtime and provides tax relief for our seniors.  

“The One Big, Beautiful Bill finishes President Trump’s big, beautiful wall, provides the funding for at least one million deportations annually, and empowers our immigration authorities to carry out and fulfill their mission. 

“With this legislation, we are rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse by kicking off at least 1.4 million illegal aliens from receiving Medicaid, protecting and strengthening the program for our nation’s most vulnerable.  

“This bill unleashes American energy dominance, spurring job growth, and making energy more affordable for American families. It ends the Left’s Green New Scam, saving hardworking taxpayers billions every year. 

“It invests over $12 billion to modernize our national airspace and antiquated air traffic control system, which is imperative to ensure the flying public's safety.

“The One Big, Beautiful Bill secures numerous wins for the American people, all the while delivering the largest deficit reduction in nearly three decades.
