Rep. Troy E. Nehls Votes YES to Send One Big Beautiful Bill Act to President Trump’s Desk

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) released the following statement after voting “YES” to pass the Senate Amendment to H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:  

“I just voted ‘YES’ to send the One, Big, Beautiful Bill to President Trump’s desk,” said Congressman Nehls. “This bill is promises made, promises kept. Plain and simple. 

“This bill puts the American people first. It prevents the largest tax hike in American history by making President Trump’s Tax Cuts permanent, eliminates taxes on tips and overtime, and delivers meaningful tax relief for seniors—all core promises from President Trump’s campaign. 

“The One, Big, Beautiful Bill provides the necessary funding and resources needed to carry out President Trump’s mass deportation operation and finish the big, beautiful border wall. It empowers our immigration authorities to do their jobs to keep our communities safe. 

“Importantly, this legislation strengthens Medicaid for Americans who truly need it, while rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse. 

“As Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee, I’m pleased that this bill provides more than $12 billion as a down payment to update and modernize our nation’s air traffic control system, making sure America remains the world’s gold standard for aviation. 

“This bill also ends Biden’s war on American energy and restores American energy independence. 

“House Republicans are delivering on President Trump’s America First agenda, which the American people overwhelmingly voted for in November. This bill puts more money in Americans’ pockets, permanently secures our borders, unleashes American energy dominance, and catapults America into a new Golden Age.”
