As a Member of the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, I understand that infrastructure investment is critical to Texas’ 22nd Congressional District, Texas, and our nation. My work on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee gives me the opportunity to focus on numerous issues such as highway development, national security, and flood risk management. Smartly addressing transportation challenges in forward-thinking and innovative ways remains one of the most important issues as our district continues to experience tremendous growth. 

I am proud to serve on the Subcommittees on Highways & Transit; Aviation; and Railroads, Pipelines, & Hazardous Materials.

Nehls (R-TX-22), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Aviation, reintroduced the Let Experienced Pilots Fly Act, which would raise the retirement age of commercial pilots from 65 to 67, while still maintaining the same rigorous medical and training requirements all other pilots in the industry are expected to maintain.
