Nehls (R-TX-22) and Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) introduced the End Unaccountable Amnesty Act, which would restore congressional oversight over immigration policies and tighten the requirements for the use of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), immigration parole, and the handling of unaccompanied alien children (UAC).

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) released the following statement after Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 47^th President of the United States:

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Today, Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) introduced the Endowment Tax Fairness Act, a bill that would raise the excise tax levied on certain private university endowment profits from 1.4% to 21%.  

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) was named Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation. 

The Aviation Subcommittee is responsible for overseeing civil aviation matters, including safety, infrastructure, labor, commerce, and international issues. The Subcommittee oversees all the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs except for research initiatives. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) reintroduced the bicameral Justice for Jocelyn Act. This legislation would improve the detention and tracking of illegal aliens entering the United States.
