These letters follow a report that came out citing 'no good intent' for the killing of Ms. Babbitt by House Chamber Security Detail Lieutenant Michael Byrd.

Nehls(R-TX-22) introduced the Blocking Lawlessness from Undermining Enforcement (BLUE) Act to prevent local and state governments that have defunded their police departments from using National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) program grants to fill in the gaps of their depleted law enforcement budgets.
Today, Congressman Troy E. Nehls (TX-22) and Congresswoman Val Demings (FL-10) introduced the Second Chance Opportunity for Re-Entry Education (SCORE) Act of 2021. This meaningful criminal justice reform legislation will establish a new grant program to promote re-entry training and reduce recidivism among non-violent inmates. Rep. Nehls, a Republican, and Rep.
